A true DRTV pioneer, Rick was the first to use an infomercial to build a national brand name: The Juiceman Juicer!  Knowing he had created a model for business success, Rick founded Cesari Direct to help other businesses apply his strategy.  Rick’s “building brands using DRTV” model created a buzz especially after he applied this strategy to The Sonicare Toothbrush DRTV campaign in 1993.  As a result of the campaign, Optiva Corp. (makers of the Sonicare Toothbrush) experienced rapid growth and was named #1 on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in 1997!

Rick went on to use DRTV to launch products and build national brands including: the George Foreman Grill, OxiClean, Orange Glo, and for Fortune 500 clients: Microsoft and Clorox.   Recently, Rick has helped Rug Doctor, LP invigorate their brand through a successful DRTV campaign for the Rug Doctor Mighty Pro Carpet Cleaning Machine.  Cesari Direct has matured in to a true turnkey DRTV agency providing production, media buying, interactive, and campaign management services.

Rick served on the Electronic Retailing Associations’ Board of Directors from 2001-2004 and in June of 2006, Rick achieved his personal goal of successfully reaching the summit of Alaska’s Mount McKinley (20,320 ft.), North America’s highest peak and one of the famous Seven Summits of the World!
